Dan Marshall hales from southeastern VA. Born into a Marine Corps family, he shares a great love for his country. Dan attended Virginia Tech, where he was a member of the football team. Dan began to kindle his passion for music at the age of twelve, learning the piano. At 18, he picked up the guitar and taught himself a few chords, quickly igniting a passion to write and play country music. In 2021 Dan started to share his music on online. Soon after sharing his music, he caught the attention of American Idol, where he would go on to place in the top 10. Soon after the show ended Dan packed up and moved to Nashville to pursue his career in music. His style is heavily influenced by early 2000s and late 90s country music and classic rock. His main musical influences are Garth Brooks, George Strait, Brooks & Dunn, Alan Jackson, and Toby Keith. Dan released his first single "She Wants a Ring" in May of 2023. His release of “Heaven’s Honky Tonk” created an online viral craving for more of his authentic country music. Dan was named a Top 10 Artist to Watch in 2024 by Country Wire. In 2022 Dan inked an artist management agreement with Erin Mooring / Steel House Management. In October 2024, Dan signed a co-publishing deal with Jonas Group Entertainment.
